Dear All,
I completely forgot to tell you all about this week's main event - Word Nursery Rhyme Week! !!
We have been involved in this for a few years now. It started in 2013 and encourages children from all countries to get involved, thus helping their language, communication and literacy skills, numeracy skills, social, physical and emotional skills - And It's fun to do!!
“If children know 8 nursery rhymes by heart by the time they are 4 years old, they are usually among the best readers and spellers in their class by the time they are 8”. (Megan Fox, Reading Magic)

So.... Each day we will be attempting to learn a new rhyme and will be involved in activities linked to that rhyme!
Monday - The Wheels on the Bus
Tuesday - Five Little Speckled Frogs
Wednesday - Hickory Dickory Dock
Thursday - Old MacDonald had a Farm
Friday - Miss Polly had a Dolly

I have attached the rhymes for you, but you can also register, as parents, and get all the information and ideas at www.worldnurseryrhymeweek.com

Have fun joining in!!
