Geography Teacher
Wingate School is seeking to recruit an energetic, flexible and dedicated native English speaking Geography Teacher. It is essential the successful candidate has recent experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum Geography syllabus’ at KS3, KS4 and Edexcel GCSE Geography. To be a full-time position, a second subject is required and PE is preferable, although it is not examinable, a candidate with experience of teaching some KS3 & KS4 PE would be an advantage.

We are looking for candidates to take a key role, show initiative in delivering a dynamic Geography programme based on the British National Curriculum and be part of a secondary school team who will continue our progress towards becoming an ‘Outstanding’ school.

The successful candidate would be expected to:

  • Organise learning resources and the classroom learning environment
  • Develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children according to age, ability and aptitude
  • Assess and record student progress
  • Challenge and inspire pupils to deepen their knowledge and understanding
  • Work in a team of experienced teachers to develop and advance the Secondary Department at Wingate School
  • Be a class tutor
  • Teach KS3, KS4 and Edexcel GCSE Geography
