On the 12th of April 2019 Year 11 students visited Live Arico, a local dog rescue charity to see how abandoned dogs in Tenerife Sur are cared for before finding their ¨forever home¨.
In preparation for the visit students created posters and collections boxes which they placed in classroom throughout the whole school. As a result of this Live Arico (well the dogs) received a wide variety of gifts including food, treats, blankets and toys to help make their stay at the rescue centre as much like home as possible.
The students had the opportunity to walk, groom and play with the dogs and also clean up after them, year 11 had an amazing day at the rescue centre and the smiles on their faces will remain as they remember how their help and contribution is helping to make a beautiful, vulnerable animal as happy as possible.
